Being a respectful person will never diminish me.

Being a responsible person to myself and others will never diminish me.

Being a person who recognizes the accomplishments of others will never diminish me.

Being a caring person will never diminish me.

Being an affectionate person will never diminish me.

Being a committed person will never diminish me.

Being a trusting person will never diminish me.

Being an honest person will never diminish me.

Being a seeker of wisdom will never diminish me.

Being a loving person to myself first, and then to all people and creatures of the earth will never diminish me.

In Theravada Buddhism the practice of Metta is practiced by all not just monks and nuns. It is a kind of meditation, and it is a daily practice of compassion and friendliness. I wrote this Mantra to encourage anyone who comes and reads it to remind yourself that these practices that are loving kindness they can never lessen your life, they will only uplift you and bring you closer to peace.

Enjoy the season of rebirth. Allow your actions to breath in and out this mantra of metta.
